The purpose of this site is to provide a home on the Internet for Orthodox Gay Jewish Men. We have a sister site called OrthoDykes, which is for women only.
At present, there are only a few groups around the world for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered [GLBT] Orthodox Jews, and only one, of which we are aware, for men only. In the US, there are the New York Gay and Lesbian Yeshiva & Day School Alumni Association and the West Coast Gay and Lesbian Orthodox and Traditional Jewish Group. In the UK, there is the Gay and Lesbian Orthodox Network [GLON] which meets in London. And in Israel, there is Homosexualim Datti'im [HO"D] (men only) which meets monthly at the Tel-Aviv Gay and Lesbian Community Center, and hosts several other events throughout the year. Just click on the group name to bring up its homepage or contact information.
Given the limited number of groups for Orthodox Gay Jewish Men, the OrthoGays E-mail List was established to bring us closer together both for social contacts and for support. This subscription list is also a way in which men can make new contacts, even if they are not comfortable meeting each other in person. Members of the list have included men from the US, Canada, Latin America, the UK, France, Italy, Australia, South Africa, and Israel.
